Alexander Kluge has been shaping German cultural life for over half a century. The Literaturhaus Berlin is now paying tribute to the filmmaker, writer, philosopher and visual artist with a special festival whose character is intended to reflect the versatility of Kluge's work. At the "Festival of Cooperation", the participating institutions will present the different aspects of Kluge's work. On 20 September, Kluge's view of opera will be the theme in the Rangfoyer of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In a conversation with Jörg Königsdorf, the focus will be on his preoccupation with Richard Wagner, which can also be experienced in many film clips.
