The Bundeswettbewerb Gesang (National Singing Competition) for Opera/Operetta/Concert will be almost the only competition in these times, unless something decisive happens. However, the audience is not allowed to be present. For this reason, the homepage www.bwgesang.de will for the first time provide a stream of the entire final rounds from 30 November to 4 December (from 10 a.m. in each case) as well as of the prize-winner concert on 7 December (from 7 p.m.) from the Deutsche Oper Berlin, live and on demand.

The jury will be live on site. Once again this year, the candidates are to be presented to all representatives of the vocal industry and friends of singing, and at the same time their performance and potential are to be judged appropriately and responsibly.

The record number of registrations for this competition and the feedback from the candidates have encouraged the national competition to continue to hold the competition - with all the necessary adjustments and safety precautions - in order to give young singers a perspective, especially in these difficult times.
