Little brothers are a nuisance. They're noisy, they always play differently than you want them to – and they drive you out of your mother's bed: Hoshe is now too big and Elli is old enough to sleep in the children's room alone anyway. But Elli doesn't feel comfortable there. How is she to know that in the dark, when the light is out, everything will remain as it was and things will not change? Because one night it happens. Elli gets into the house of the Octopus Lady. Here, door knobs, walls and floors come to life, she meets her goldfish Mr Puddles again – and ultimately learns that despite the suction cups, ink and tentacles, the Lady also has fears that she can only overcome with Elli's help.

TINTENFISCHLADY is a music theatre piece for children aged five and up, commissioned by the Deutsche Oper Berlin and created by composer Sidney Corbett and his daughter, librettist Chiara Corbett – and with which the successful series of new music theatre pieces for children and young people premiered in the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper Berlin is to be continued.
