Fairytale myths take the concert series to a new venue, the Heimathafen Neukölln: with music from Britten for solo oboe to Wagner's RING for 10 brass players and 3 percussionists, the fine line between heroism and toxic masculinity is illuminated.

For the musicians of the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, their series of chamber-music sessions is a wish come true. Taking their inspiration from key operas on the programme, they put together concert programmes linked to works that they hold particularly dearly. They are assisted in the project not only by singers from the ensemble but also by guests from outside. The concerts take place against the backdrop of sets being used in whatever Tischlerei production is being mounted at the time - which regularly necessitates new and unconventional spatial solutions.
