The evening is dedicated to Glenn Miller (1904 -1944), the American jazz trombonist, bandleader, composer and arranger. The description of his life through texts by Reinhard Krol is framed with hits such as "American Petrol", "Chattanooga Choo Choo", "In TheMood", among others, performed by the BigBand of the Deutsche Oper under the musical direction of Simon Harrer.
By attending the benefit gala, you will be helping the Lions Club Berlin-Wannsee to support children and young people in the region and to make the world a little better together. The concert supports the following projects: Multicultural Youth Integration Centre, Das Sonnenhaus as well as "kein Abseits! e.V.".
We would like to say thank you for this and enjoy an upbeat evening in good spirits with you and the artists.
